GUIDE

PANDA 101

Short guides to the things that make ReversePanda distinctive. Not a manual, not a setup checklist — just the features worth knowing.

BASICS

Home Screen

This is where apps, folders, widgets and pages live. Tap an icon to open it. Long-press an empty area for the Home Screen Menu. Long-press an app, then drag to move it. Drop an app on another app to make a Folder.

App Drawer

The full app list — open it with swipe-up or the App Drawer icon. Search from the top or bottom, choose Classic Grid, a list, or A–Z columns, and drag apps onto the Home Screen.

Dock

Everyday apps at the bottom of the Home Screen. Drag apps in or out. Size, pages, background and labels are all adjustable — and ReversePanda can make the Dock look and move in very different ways.

Folders & Widgets

Folders stack apps. Widgets sit beside your icons. Rename a folder, change its preview, or enlarge it. Add widgets from the Home Screen Menu, then resize them, send them behind icons, or remove them.

Home Screen Menu

Long-press an empty area: widgets, wallpaper, pages, add apps — and ReversePanda Editor.

ReversePanda Editor

Free placement: move apps and folders, scale them, rotate them, change their stacking order. Save when it feels right, or discard to leave the layout unchanged.

CUSTOMIZE

Home Screen Layouts

Classic paginated with pages. Continuous Canvas as one long scrolling field. Bubble cloud when icons should float freely on one surface you pinch and pan.

Icon Packs

One pack for every icon — or swap just a single app. Apps the pack doesn’t cover can keep their original icon or use a simple shaped fallback.

Wallpapers

From the ReversePanda library or a photo on the device. Optional blur, overlay, and subtle scrolling. Rotation, Light & Dark pairs, and per-page wallpapers are available too.

App Labels

Names under icons: on, off, larger, smaller, one line — or auto-hide after you stop interacting, so the wallpaper can take over.

Notification Badges

Unread counts on Home Screen, Dock and App Drawer icons. Style, color, position. Counts from 100 display as 99+.

POWER FEATURES

Satellite Folders

A primary app in the center, related apps around it — Cross, Fan, Arc or Orbit. Near the screen edge, ReversePanda shifts the arrangement so nothing gets clipped.

Continuous Canvas

No page flipping — one long Home Screen you scroll through. Scroll effects instead of classic page transitions. One wallpaper for the whole canvas.

Dock Layouts

Pages, Linear, Rotary, Cylinder, Wheel, Wave, Time Machine — same Dock, different motion.

Transitions

On Classic pages: Scatter, Shrink, Cube, Wheel, Vortex. On Canvas: its own scroll effects. The App Drawer has its own motion too.

Gestures & Gesture Zones

Swipe up, swipe down, two fingers, pinch. Optionally limit a gesture to Top, Bottom, Left, Right or Center — so the rest of the screen stays free.

Hidden Dock

An extra shelf past the last page: Apps, Shortcuts, Media. Page wrap and Hidden Dock can’t be on at the same time.

Frequently Used Apps

The Dock can fill itself from apps you’ve used in the last seven days.

App Drawer: sorting, groups, folders

A–Z, usage, manual, app color. Custom groups above the full list. A Folder can live on the Home Screen, in the drawer, or in both — contents stay in sync.

Quick Setups & Backups

Switch local looks on this device. Or save a portable backup, share it, and restore it later.

TIPS

  • Add several apps at once from the Home Screen Menu. Extra pages are created if they don’t fit.
  • Long-press a normal Folder and convert it to a Satellite.
  • Keep the same Folder on the Home Screen and in the App Drawer.
  • Auto-hide labels after inactivity so the wallpaper can breathe.
  • On Classic pages, use a different wallpaper on every page.
  • Let the Dock fill itself with frequently used apps.
  • Page wrap also changes Hidden Dock availability — the two can’t run together.
  • Limit a gesture to one zone instead of the whole screen.
  • Pair Light and Dark wallpapers with your theme.
  • In A–Z, choose whether # (numbers and symbols) sits before A or after Z.
